Kecklers Have 5 On 'Star Roster
League leading Kecklers of the Bellefonte Little League placed five players on the league all-star team, announced recently. Motor Sales and Lions Club each have four representatives on one team, while Deckers placed one.
Those from Kecklers are: Phillip Ray, Harold Riser, Walt Krauss, Robert Pierce and Vincent Kushwara. Carrying Motor Sales colors are William Walker, Joseph Kresovich, Dennis Fogelman, and Thomas Hoover. Douglas Shuey, David Wion, Ellery Seitz and William Colegrove are from the Lions, while Paul King is the Deckers representative .
Alternates are Lynn Bennett, Kecklers; Michael Emel, Deckers; Stanley Haupt, Motor Sales. Harold Rossman is the manager.

Bellefonte Tops Intercommunity
Bellefonte’s Little League all-stars last night defeated the Intercommunity Little League ‘Stars in a district playoff game at Lock Haven, 3-0.
The Bellefonte team thus earned a berth in the district finals next Friday. The other finalist will be determined Tuesday.
Bellefonte played a flawless game in whitewashing the Howard Area Little Leaguers. Intercommunity garnered only three hits in the contest and never threatened to score.
Bellefonte tallied two in the third and one in the fourth of the six inning affair. Both teams displayed fine fielding before a large crowd of evenly-divided fans.
In the other district tilt last night , Mill Hall downed Renovo, 7-3, at Mill Hall. The Mill Hall team next plays Lock Haven on Tuesday, with the winner to face Bellefonte in the finals.

Nittany Valley Little League's all-star team will go after the championship of District 4 today a t 6 p.m. when it entertains the Lewistown National league at the Nittany Valley field just outside State College.
Tomorrow at 6 p.m. Bellefonte and Lock Haven Little League all-stars will meet on the Bellefonte field for the District 2 title.
The winners of these two games will meet each other for the section championship at a site to be determined immediately following the Friday game at Bellefonte. Section winners enter the State tournament at Williamsport.

Bellefonte ‘Stars win Over Lock Haven, 7-3
Bellefonte met its biggest test to date last night, and it looks now as if the Bellefonte-Nittany Valley contest on Tuesday will be a meeting of area titans. The Bellefonte Little League all-stars dropped Lock Haven at the County Seat last night, 7-3, on the strength of a five-run third inning.
Bellefonte now meets Nittany Valley Little League, the District 4 winner, Tuesday at the State College field. The winner of this game meets the District 2-3 winner for a berth in the Pennsylvania tournament at Williamsport Aug. 10.
The game was pretty much all Bellefonte last night, with the Countians overcoming an early 1-0 lead by Lock Haven and coasting to a 7-3 verdict. Both teams clubbed out seven hits, but the area squad made its safeties count.
The win gives Bellefonte the District title in a virtual upset, for Lock Haven had been favored to win.
After the Tuesday game which necessarily will result in a Centre County winner, the playoff with the Districts 2-3 is set for Aug. 4, also in Williamsport.
Information was not available last night as to who will be the representatives from the Williamsport area leagues.
Site and date of the Tuesday game at State College were determined following the Bellefonte-Lock Haven game last night.

Little Loop Teams Meet Tomorrow
Bellefonte and Nittany Valley Little League teams will battle it out tomorrow evening to see who will be the District 4 representative in the sectional playoff Thursday in Williamsport.
The contest is set to begin at 6 p.m. on the Little League Field outside State College on route 45 toward Pine Grove Mills.
The winner will meet Wellsboro, District 1 titlist, on Thursday at Williamsport’s Original Little League field.
The winner of the Thursday game will play Saturday, again in Williamsport for the sectional crown and a berth in the state tournament Aug. 10-13.
Newberry Little League, a Williamsport area circuit, will meet North Columbia on Tuesday in Williamsport. The winner of this game will be the other sectional aspirant in Saturday’s contest.
Nittany Valley Little League advanced in the playoff with successive wins over Big Valley, Juniata Valley and Lewistown Nationals. Bellefonte whipped Intercommunity and Lock Haven.
The two have shown unexpected power and fine defensive work in games thus far, both knocking over highly-rated opponents in their march through the playoffs.

Nittany Valley Midgets Defeat Bellefonte, 5-3
In about as exciting a windup as could happen, Nittany Valley Little League’s all-star baseball team won the District 4 championship last night by virtue of a come-from-behind, 5-3 victory over neighboring Bellefonte Little League. The victory entitled the Nittany Valley team to travel to Williamsport tomorrow for a tilt with Wellsboro, the winner to play Newberry on Saturday for the Sectional crown.
Last night’s affair, played at the Nittany Valley field outside State College, was evenly contested right up to the time the eventual winners grabbed four runs in the top of the fifth to salt it away. Bellefonte, acting as home team for the game, had tallied two in the first to hold an early lead.
Nittany Valley couldn’t break the scoring ice until the fourth and the solitary run then still left it one behind. But in the fifth the State College Team poured four across on just two hits to settle the issue.
Bellefone Little League president Frank Webster who confessed the playoffs were "probably harder on the Adults than on the players," and after the game that he wasn't that disappointed and that he felt the two teams were evenly matched...
