Little League All-Star Team Rosters Listed
Little League playoffs for District 5 All-Star teams will start next Monday at 6 p.m. Tri-County will entertain State College Suburban at Port Matilda, Pleasant Gap will invade Bellefonte's Webster Field and Clearfield will visit Mountain Top.
On July 15, Nittany Valley of State College will visit the Tri-County-Suburban winner and Philipsburg will visit the Four-Leaf-Curwensville winner.
Playoffs at the district level this year will follow a double-elimination format.

Bellefonte 11, Pleasant Gap 0
Bellefonte advanced to the second round in the District 5 playoffs with an easy win last night on its home field.
Brian Ishler picked up the victory on the mount, striking out 15, walking two and giving up only a one-out single in the fourth inning to Ray Trexler, his mound opponent.
The Bellefonte attack was led by Brian Hosterman with a double, Ishler with a single and a double, Marc McMullin with a single and a double, Joe Kresovich with a single and a home run, and Dave Reese and Steve Purnell, each with two singles.
Trexler started and took the loss. Tim Tressler came on in relief.
Bellefonte will entertain Lewistown tonight in the second game in the winner's bracket while Pleasant Gap will meet the loser of tonight's game between Nittany Valley and Suburban at Pleasant Gap tomorrow night.

Lewistown 6, Bellefonte 3
Richie Bair earned the win on the mound by slamming a three-run homer in the top of the seventh to break up a 3-3 tie. Bair allowed just four hits, walked four and struck out four to help his team advance to a third round game with Suburban tomorrow evening.
Brian Grenoble took the loss allowing eight hits while striking out 12 and walking only one. Danny Stimley slugged a home run in the first to get the winners rolling. Bellefonte's Marc McMullen knotted the score in the bottom of the sixth with a homer, but Bair's shot won the game.
Bellefonte is at home in the losers' bracket game against Nittany Valley tonight.

Bellefonte kept its hopes alive in the losers bracket of the District 5 little league playoffs last night by eliminating Tri-County, 13-3, in a game played at Bellefonte.
The winners blew up against loser Jim Warrender with seven runs in the third inning on singles by Greg Dawson, Marc McMullin, and Cliff Johnstonbaugh plus three walks and a Tri-County error.
McMullin and Dawson each had two hits for Bellefonte, which will meet Nittany Valley tonight at Bellefonte. Brian Isler chipped in with a double. For Tri-County, Warrender and Ken Burns had the only two hits off winner Joe Kresovich who struck out 10 and walked only four.

Nittany Valley eliminated Bellefonte from the District 5 Little League tournament when in the ninth, Mike O'Toole drew a walk, went clear to third on a sacrifice bunt by Jeff Anderson, and scored when Jason Hoffman's fly ball was dropped.
Hoffman picked up the victory, going the entire nine innings and allowing six hits, striking out five and walking three. Marc McMullin started for Bellefonte and went four innings before yielding to Brian Ishler. They combined for nine strikeouts.
Anderson and Hoffman had the only hits for Nittany Valley. Bellefonte got a double from Dave Klinefelter with two out in the second and Rick Solt followed with a single. Greg Dawson then worked Hoffman for a walk to load the bases but a fielders choice wipe out Solt at third to kill the rally. Nittany Valley will visit Lewistown tonight in the loser's bracket finals.
