Little Leagues Name All-Star Squads
District 10 Little League All-Star competition will get under way Monday at 6 p.m.
Games involving area teams in the Southern Tier will find defending district champ Clearfield at State College Suburban and Bellefonte at Four Leaf. Tri-County, Pleasant Gap and Mountaintop drew first round byes.
Mountaintop will play at the Clearfield-Suburban winner a week from tomorrow, Pleasant Gap will travel either to Bellefonte or Four Leaf and Tri-County will visit the winner of Monday's Philipsburg-Lewistown game.
The third round will be played July 18 at 6 p.m. Southern and Northern Tier winners will be determined July 21 and District 10 crown will be up for grabs July 23 at a site to be announced later. Curwensville and Moshannon are the other teams in the Southern Tier.
The Nittany Valley Little League of State College has bypassed the district event in recent years.

Bellefonte Ousted By Four Leaf
Four Leaf defeated Bellefonte's All Stars in a District 10 Little League playoff game at Bigler last night, 7-3. Four Leaf will entertain Pleasant Gap today at 6 p.m.
Four Leaf scored a run in the first, five in the second and one in the fifth. Bellefonte scored in the first on a two run single by Greg McMullen and in the sixth on McMullen's solo homer.
The winning pitcher was Bun Maines and the loser was Ron Lidgett. McMullen also singled in the fourth and collected half of the six hits Maines yielded.
Barry Wick led off the second and fifth innings with home runs for Four Leaf. Maines also drove in two runs.
In another Southern Tier makeup game last night, visiting Lewistown beat Philipsburg 5-2. Lewistown will entertain Tri-County today at 6 p.m.
Two other Southern Tier games today at 6 p.m. will feature Mountaintop at State College Suburban and Moshannon Valley at Curwensville.
