Sharp, Brooks Toss Double No-Hit Game
Billy Sharp and Ron Brooks came up with a modern phenomenon last night in the Bellefonte Little League.
Both Pitchers served up no-hit games as their respective teams, Decker Motors and Keckler Chevies battled to an eight- inning 1-1 tie.
Decker scored in the third when George Taylor reached second on an error, moved to third on a passed ball and scampered across as Jack Witmer sacrificed.
Keckler tied it up in the fourth as Jim Kearney romped all the way to third on a double error and tallied on a passed ball. Sharp fanned 18 and Brooks came up with 16 whiffings in the closely contested scrap. The box score:
